Hi, I'm Angela
I am a mum of two young children. Two gorgeous, funny, exhausting, loud, happy (for the most part) children. I live a busy family life, juggling parenting and a professional career as best as any of us can.
From the moment my first was born (or, let’s be honest, maybe from the moment I knew I was pregnant) the kids’ bedroom planning began. I have thoroughly enjoyed turning their rooms into spaces which are visually beautiful, and engaging for their young minds. For me, it is a process of curating pieces which bring them joy, and which indulge my own desire for quality and charm.
That process led me to want to create something that combined many of the attributes which my kids have always been drawn to. That sense of belonging, of ownership of their room. The joy and achievement in recognising letters, colours, animals and objects etc. Something that allows for dialogue between parents and their kids.
And so I started Me and Mine Designs, and created “The Maxi” and “The Mini” posters with which I launched my business.
These posters bring your child’s name to life with letter specific illustrations which have been purposefully designed and painted. The end result is personalised artwork which is joyous and stylish. And, you can rest assured you are purchasing the highest quality giclee fine art print. It’s been somewhat a labour of love to get to this point, and I have not done it alone. I had to find the right artist who could capture the feel and style of the illustrations I knew I wanted. Enter Halyna, a young and incredibly talented watercolour artist who is passionate, hard working and resilient. You can read more about Halyna below. I’m also supported by skilled graphic designers to ensure I can realise my vision.

Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Halyna,
I am an artist and illustrator from Lviv, Ukraine. Art is a very important part of my life. It is my passion and my profession. I specialise mainly in watercolor illustration.
Why watercolor? The artwork can be detailed, and there are so many different effects to play with. The watercolor technique adds unpredictable elements to the process … you never know exactly how the paint will mix with the water! The beauty is that you can paint the small details and at the right moment just add water and watch how the watercolor blurs itself! I love the texture it creates on the paper and the feel of freshness and freedom.
Art school, Art Academy (Book illustration and Graphic Design) and a simple love for painting led me to what I do now - I paint illustrations for various creative projects, clothing and accessories brands, websites, and private orders. I also take part in international and national exhibitions.
